Hot Player IPTV Setup Guide for the UK

Connect your assigned VocoTV playlist to Hot Player on a compatible device. This guide to our IPTV service explains installation, playlist management and playback checks, with a clear distinction between player activation and service access.

What You Need Before Setting Up Hot Player

Prepare your viewing device

  • A device supported by the current Hot Player version.
  • A working internet connection.
  • Your assigned VocoTV M3U link.
  • A phone or computer if the app directs you to a web playlist manager.

Keep the two services separate

Hot Player supplies the player software. VocoTV supplies your service access. A player licence, a player trial and an IPTV subscription are different things. Check the developer’s current activation terms before paying.

For device-specific installation instructions, use the IPTV setup guide. App availability can vary by device model, operating system and store region.

Download the Correct Hot Player App

Start from the official Hot Player website. The developer identifies itself as STE DIGI VIBES and states that the app does not include channels. Check the exact app identity rather than choosing the first similar search result.

Compatible Android and Fire TV devices

Use the verified store route where available. For a compatible Android package, the supplied direct download address is apk.hotplayer.app.

Use the player developer’s official download page linked in this guide. Select the package for your exact device and verify the app publisher before installation.

Smart TVs and other platforms

Use the native store version supported by your model. An Android APK does not install on Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, VIDAA or Roku. Follow the route shown by the developer for your platform.

Use our Fire TV Stick setup instructions or Android TV setup instructions if you need help with installation permissions. Keep device security checks enabled and investigate installation warnings.

How to Set Up Hot Player in 3 Steps

  1. Step 1: Download, Install and Open the Player

Choose the installation for your device: HotPlayer on the App Store; HotPlayer in the Microsoft Store; HotPlayer in the Roku Store. On Samsung, LG or VIDAA, search HotPlayer in the TV’s native store and check availability.

On compatible Fire OS / Android devices, install Downloader by AFTVnews, allow installation for that installer if prompted, enter 395800 in its URL/code box and select Go → Install → Open. Direct alternative: HotPlayer Android APK. Source: HotPlayer official downloads.

For the Fire TV permission menus, follow our Firestick installation steps. APK installation does not apply to Vega OS, iOS, Roku, Tizen or webOS.

  2. Step 2: Add Your VocoTV Login or Playlist

Open HotPlayer on the viewing device and note the MAC address displayed inside the app. On your phone or computer, open HotPlayer Upload List. Enter that MAC address in Your MAC Address and continue through the form. This identifies the player; it is not your IPTV username.

Choose the M3U upload or XtreamCode option offered by the form, then enter the matching VocoTV details below. Save the playlist, return to the TV app and reload or close and reopen it.

If you received one long M3U link: choose the playlist URL / M3U option. Enter VocoTV as the playlist name and paste the entire link into Playlist URL. Do not split it into username and password fields.

If you received three Xtream Codes details: select Xtream Codes or the supported server-login option. Copy Server URL → server/address field, Username → username field and Password → password field. If a name is requested, use VocoTV. Keep the supplied http/https and port; do not paste an M3U link into the server field.

  3. Step 3: Load Your Channels and Test Playback

    • Select the saved playlist and allow the initial load to finish.
    • Try several channels and check picture and sound.
    • Open the programme guide and check listing times.
    • Test search, favourites and available subtitle or audio options.
    • Play an on-demand title where included and repeat the test at your usual viewing time.

EPG availability depends on the player and connection type. Supported account configurations can load listings automatically, while an M3U setup may need a separate EPG URL. If your player requests one or the guide stays empty, ask VocoTV support for the correct details and check your local time zone.

Activation, Multiple Devices and Playlist Privacy

Check licence terms per device

Review the developer’s current fees and activation terms. A licence may be associated with a device or app identifier. Reinstalling or moving to another device can require assistance from the app developer.

Use the correct connection allowance

Your simultaneous connection allowance depends on your VocoTV plan. Check your order details before adding another screen, recording or using multiview. Use the access details supplied for your account; a player licence does not add service connections.

If your version offers playlist locking or parental controls, configure them after confirming playback. Keep recovery information private. Player controls do not replace supervision or guarantee that every title is classified correctly.

Fix Common Hot Player Setup Problems

Playlist is empty or rejected

Check the complete assigned URL, account status and selected playlist. A webpage address or portal URL is not automatically an M3U playlist. Ask support to confirm the access format.

Playlist changes are not visible

Verify that you edited the identifier shown by the intended device. Save, return to the app and refresh or restart it. Do not change another device’s playlist while troubleshooting.

Buffering or freezing

Compare several streams and test your network. Pause large downloads and try Ethernet where possible. Follow our IPTV buffering checklist to narrow down the cause.

EPG is missing or incorrect

Check the device time zone, reload the playlist and allow guide data to update. Report affected channels and times if the problem continues. Avoid guessing EPG addresses.

Activation succeeded but nothing plays

App activation does not activate a VocoTV subscription. Confirm both the player licence status and the separate service account. Also check whether another device is using the assigned connection.

Persistent error or black screen

Record your device model, player version and exact error. Try another channel and consult our IPTV troubleshooting guide. Save access details before clearing app data.

Hot Player Setup FAQs

How do I set up Hot Player with VocoTV?

Install the correct Hot Player app for your device, open its playlist-management instructions and add the M3U link assigned by VocoTV. Save the playlist, reload the app and test playback. Follow the four steps above.

Does Hot Player include channels or a subscription?

No. Hot Player is an independent media player. Its activation does not include VocoTV channels or create a VocoTV account. You need separate service access.

Where should I download Hot Player?

Start at hotplayer.app and use the verified store or download route for your device. Check the developer identity and avoid similarly named sites selling subscriptions under the player name.

What is the Hot Player Downloader code?

Use the player developer’s official download page linked in this guide. Select the package for your exact device and verify the app publisher before installation.

Can I install the Android APK on a Samsung or LG TV?

No. Samsung Tizen and LG webOS require their compatible native apps. Android APK files are for supported Android-based devices, not every Smart TV.

Where do I find the device identifier for playlist management?

Open Hot Player and follow the device-information or playlist-management screen. Use the identifier and any key shown by the app. Do not substitute your router address or another device’s identifier.

Do I need an M3U link or Xtream Codes?

This guide uses the complete M3U playlist assigned to your device. If your installed version explicitly offers another supported login method, follow its fields and ask VocoTV to confirm the required format.

Is Hot Player activation included in the VocoTV free trial?

The player’s licence and any app trial are separate from VocoTV’s service trial unless your order explicitly states otherwise. Check the current player terms before paying for activation.

Do I need a separate EPG link?

EPG availability depends on the player and connection type. Supported account configurations can load listings automatically, while an M3U setup may need a separate EPG URL. If your player requests one or the guide stays empty, ask VocoTV support for the correct details and check your local time zone.

Can I use Hot Player on several devices?

Your simultaneous connection allowance depends on your VocoTV plan. Check your order details before adding another screen, recording or using multiview. Use the access details supplied for your account; a player licence does not add service connections.

Why are channels missing or not loading?

Check the complete assigned playlist URL, account status and selected playlist. Reload the app and compare several channels. If the issue continues, send support the device model, app version and exact error without posting credentials publicly.

Can I test Hot Player with VocoTV before subscribing?

Yes. Request VocoTV’s IPTV free trial and confirm player compatibility first. Test the channels you need, sound, guide listings and everyday navigation. Any player fee or app trial remains separate.

Choose Your VocoTV Plan After Testing

Confirm the player works on your device, then compare subscription durations and connections for your household.

Hot Player is an independent media player and is not affiliated with VocoTV. Its software, licences and support terms are managed by its developer.
