VocoTV · Android TV & Google TV
Android TV IPTV setup uses a TV-compatible player from Google Play or its verified developer download. This guide covers Android TV televisions, Google TV and supported streaming boxes in the UK. Check your model, install the remote-friendly version and add your VocoTV access details before testing the guide and playback.
Android TV and Google TV devices can use this guide when a compatible TV player is available for the model. Samsung Tizen, LG webOS and VIDAA need their own native-app instructions, even when the televisions have similar streaming features.
For platform details, consult Google TV app installation.
The model and operating-system information identifies whether a television or streaming box uses Android TV or Google TV. A brand name alone does not establish app compatibility; confirm the platform before downloading a player.
The setup needs compatible hardware, an active connection and the access details assigned to this device.
A mobile Android app may install on some boxes but still work poorly with a TV remote. Choose a TV-compatible version. If your television uses another platform, return to our IPTV installation guide and select its dedicated instructions.
Three separate parts: your device runs the software, the player opens your playlist, and the subscription supplies service access. A player download does not include a channel package.
Start with Hot Player, followed by IBO Player Pro. Confirm the exact app name, publisher and compatibility before activation. A similarly named app may use a different playlist manager.
Check the TV store for the app and compare the listing with the Hot Player website. Follow our Hot Player setup guide if your version uses an online playlist manager.
Use the activation and playlist instructions shown by the exact IBO app you installed. An app-generated device ID may differ from the network MAC address. Our IBO Player setup guide explains what to check.
TiviMate is designed for television devices. Check which features require its paid edition before choosing it. Use our TiviMate setup guide for the player-specific configuration.
Select the TV-compatible app from the correct publisher and confirm the login methods available in your version. Follow our Smarters setup guide when adding your service.
Android TV setup involves checking the model, installing a remote-friendly TV player, adding the assigned playlist or supported server login and testing channels and EPG data. Google Play is the normal starting point; a developer APK is an optional compatible installation route.
Connect the device to Wi-Fi or Ethernet and open Google Play on the television.
Choose one TV player: TiviMate on Google Play or Smarters Pro for Android TV. Open the listing on the TV, select Install, then Open. Check compatibility and any separate player fee.
Optional APK route on compatible Android TV / Google TV: install Downloader by AFTVnews from the device’s store. When Android requests it, allow Install unknown apps for Downloader only. Open its URL/code box, enter an app code, select Go, then Install. Turn that permission off afterwards.
Enter the code for the app you want: HotPlayer 395800; TiviMate 272483; IBO Player Pro / IbPro Player 481220. These are app download codes, not IPTV login codes. Choose one player.
Official download sources: HotPlayer official downloads; TiviMate; IBO Player Pro. Check the displayed publisher and destination before installing. If a code changes, use the developer’s download link.
The instructions below are for TiviMate on an Android TV / Google TV device. If you installed Smarters Pro instead, follow the Smarters Pro login steps.
Open TiviMate → Add playlist. If you already have a playlist, open Settings → Playlists → Add playlist. Choose M3U playlist or Xtream Codes to match what VocoTV sent.
If you received one long M3U link: choose the playlist URL / M3U option. Enter VocoTV as the playlist name and paste the entire link into Playlist URL. Do not split it into username and password fields.
If you received three Xtream Codes details: select Xtream Codes or the supported server-login option. Copy Server URL → server/address field, Username → username field and Password → password field. If a name is requested, use VocoTV. Keep the supplied http/https and port; do not paste an M3U link into the server field.
Select Next, wait for the playlist to process, name it VocoTV and finish the prompts. If a separate EPG URL is requested, use the one provided by support; it is not the M3U playlist URL.
Playback testing confirms channel switching, sound, subtitles and EPG timing on the television you will actually use.
For native 4K, the source, player, device and screen must support it. Confirm the channels and language options that matter to you before committing to a longer plan.
UK guide times: set the device to the correct local time zone, normally Europe/London for UK viewing. Allow automatic daylight-saving changes and refresh the EPG if listings are an hour out.
Android TV playback depends on the app, the device decoder and the source format, not just the resolution printed on the TV box.
| Check | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| HEVC/H.265 | Check the model specification and test the actual stream. | Android support does not guarantee every codec profile, resolution or audio format on every box. |
| Hardware decoding | Use the player default first; compare a different decoder only for a reproducible fault. | Software decoding can raise processor load and may struggle with high-resolution video. |
| Two screens | Two 8 Mbps streams need roughly 16 Mbps plus overhead and other household traffic. | This example is a capacity calculation, not a promised stream bitrate or speed guarantee. |

Your simultaneous connection allowance depends on your VocoTV plan. Check your order details before adding another screen, recording or using multiview. Use the access details supplied for your account; a player licence does not add service connections.
Check your IPTV subscription connection allowance before using another device. Ask support whether any separate player activation is needed when replacing hardware.
Android TV playback checks should separate account errors, a failing stream and a device-wide connection problem. Compare another channel, verify the assigned login and test the network on the television or box before changing decoder settings.
Check the device model, software version and account region. Use the developer’s supported TV download route or choose another compatible player. A phone-only listing is not proof that the app works with your remote.
Confirm the account is active and the selected login method matches your credentials. Recheck every character and use the link assigned to this device. Avoid deleting your setup until you have a copy of the original details.
Compare a second channel, restart the app and pause heavy downloads. Compare Ethernet with Wi-Fi where possible. Follow our IPTV buffering checklist to separate network, app and source problems.
Test another stream and check the selected audio track. If the player offers a decoder setting, note the original value before testing an alternative. Hardware decoding can reduce CPU load when the device supports the stream; it is not a universal fix.
Refresh the playlist and guide, then verify the time zone. One channel with no listing may reflect missing source data. Report the affected channel rather than resetting all guide settings.
Check whether the issue affects one app or the whole device. Our IPTV not working guide covers account, connection and playback checks. Send support the model, player, exact error and time of the issue.
Before clearing anything: clearing app data or uninstalling can remove playlists and settings. Start with a restart. Do not assume buffering proves ISP throttling or that adding a VPN will solve it; diagnose the affected device and stream first.
Android TV supports several player workflows, but app compatibility, Downloader permissions and service connections remain separate checks.
Set up IPTV on Android TV by installing a compatible TV player, choosing the M3U or supported Xtream Codes login option and entering the VocoTV access assigned to that device. Wait for the playlist and guide to load, then test remote navigation, audio and several streams.
Yes, the overall process applies to compatible Google TV devices. Search for the player from the home screen or Apps area and check its availability on your model. Settings and menu labels can differ from older Android TV devices.
Check Hot Player first, followed by IBO Player Pro. TiviMate and Smarters Pro are alternatives where supported. Choose the TV version from the correct publisher and check whether the app supports your supplied login format before paying for an app licence.
Not if your chosen player is available through the TV app store. Downloader is an optional installation route for a compatible APK supplied by the developer. Do not change unknown-app permissions for a normal store installation.
The Hot Player developer website provides the platform-specific download route. Confirm the exact app and supported operating system before installing. A download shortcut does not activate the player or supply a VocoTV subscription.
A player licence and a VocoTV subscription are separate. Check any activation charge or feature restrictions in your chosen app. Paying for a player does not provide channels or activate a VocoTV account.
For M3U, use the playlist URL field and enter the complete assigned link. For supported Xtream Codes access, enter the supplied server address, username and password separately. If the app manages playlists on its website, use the device ID and instructions shown inside that app.
EPG availability depends on the player and connection type. Supported account configurations can load listings automatically, while an M3U setup may need a separate EPG URL. If your player requests one or the guide stays empty, ask VocoTV support for the correct details and check your local time zone.
Your simultaneous connection allowance depends on your VocoTV plan. Check your order details before adding another screen, recording or using multiview. Use the access details supplied for your account; a player licence does not add service connections.
The cause can be the connection, Wi-Fi reception, device load, player or stream. Compare several channels, restart the app and pause other heavy network activity. If possible, compare Wi-Fi with Ethernet. Report the affected channel, time and device model if the problem continues.
No. Native 4K playback requires a 4K source, compatible player and device, a suitable display and enough stable network capacity. A 4K-capable box does not turn an HD stream into native 4K content.
Yes. Request the IPTV free trial and tell the team your Android TV model and player. Test your preferred channels, guide and remote controls on your own connection. A separate player licence may still be required.
Choose your plan after checking the player, channels and connection on the device you intend to use. If you need help, send the team your TV model and app name.

Google and the named player developers are independent of VocoTV. App availability, menus and licence terms vary by device and version.
